Troth – The Limits Of A Light Touch
$40.00 Inc GST
The Limits of a Light Touch finds Troth approaching a kind of sideways pop music, perhaps more directly than ever before. Amelia Besseny and Cooper Bowman refine their musical language across liminal ambient pop, blurry trip hop, art-rock experimentalism and pagan wired-folk.
The album moves from the ambient pop of “In Essence” and “Incanta” through the art-pop of “Shaking Light” and “She Sees Stars”, the wired folk of “Burrows” and dubbed experimentalism of “Two Urns Mark The Way”, made with UK pal The Dengie Hundred.
TLOALT is the first release on Troth’s own label, Dearest Latest, returning the long-standing DIY duo to releasing their music independently. It follows a string of albums released on labels tied to the international underground including Night School, A Colourful Storm, Knekelhuis, Discreet Music, Mother’s Mysteriska Jukebox and Digital Regress.
