Nina Simone – Little Girl Blue

Her recording debut, Starring Nina Simone, was recorded live, without her knowledge or consent, and fans, critics and Nina herself chose to regard Little Girl Blue as her first proper album. It was this 1958 recording that laid the foundations for a flourishing career, while demonstrating the genius the whole world would soon come to know and admire. This album may justifiably be called a “Best Of Nina Simone”, it was a breakthrough Nina Simone may never have coveted, but one which she richly deserved.
