Jay Watson has been releasing records under his GUM moniker for over a decade, and the recordings have followed his wildest creative impulses. For his seventh studio album, GUM has focussed on nine songs that explore a specific mood and sound. Blue Gum Way sets its roots deep into a widescreen, jazz-informed  psychedelia, one influenced by the likes of Talk Talk and Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool. This LP is the work of an artist who has reached the clearest sense of what he wants to say.
