Glide – Open Up and Croon

On the 30th Anniversary of the album’s release, Glide’s 1995 album, Open Up and Croon is released  on vinyl for the first time. 

Glide was a Sydney-based indie rock band formed in 1991 and fronted by William Arthur. They released their debut album, Open Up and Croon (produced by Paul McKercher, engineered by Paul McKercher and Wayne Connolly), in 1995 and went on to tour with bands like Blur and Lush. Their second album, Disappear Here, was released in 1996. Glide’s music, characterized by Arthur’s darkly evocative lyrics and unique sense of harmony, had a significant impact on the Sydney music scene of the ’90s. William sadly passed in 1999.
