2014 reissue of Fela Kuti’s 1976 album. Zombie directly criticised the Nigerian government and is widely thought to have resulted in an escalation of the government’s harassment of Kuti. Leading, ultimately, to the murder of Kut’s mother and the destruction of his compound.
