Long awaited follow-up to 2014’s (controversial) Grammy winning, “Morning Phase”, “Colors” is a vibrant, pulsating close cousin to 1999’s “Midnite Vultures”.
The first four tracks (‘Colors’, ‘Seventh Heaven’, ‘I’m So Free’ and ‘Dear Life”) are sublime before dipping into the no-less appealing ridiculous corner of Beck’s palatte (reggae tinged ‘No Distraction’ and almost blockbuster movie ballad, ‘Square One’).
