Celebrating over 30 years since it was recorded, Flying Nun Records and The 3Ds are pleased to announce the upcoming release of The Peel Sessions and Triple J Live-to-air 1994.
1994 was a big year for The 3Ds. Having recently released two full-length albums, ‘Hellzapoppin’ (1992) and ‘The Venus Trail’ (1993), the band left New Zealand’s shores for a tour of Australia — where they performed tracks live-to-air at the ABC’s ‘Triple J’ radio station — then spent three months on the road in both the USA (with Superchunk, Pavement and Guided By Voices) and the UK, where they recorded four songs for a coveted Peel Session on 24 April, 1994, and were widely lauded by the UK music press.
