Returning to Rocksteady Records in celebration of “Phonetics On and On”, the sophomore release of cross continental friends Horsegirl. Mouseatouille, Melbourne’s favourite 9 piece, have once again proven that more is in-fact more. Forgoing subtlety in pursuit of grandiose and delicate arrangements that weave and soar through genre and influence, the groups talent for constructing moments as sonically precarious as they are elating is something to behold.
Dropping by for a romantic Valentines day set, Mouseatouille charmed with a mix of modern classics from their 2019 LP “Out of the Hospital and into the Morgue” and an exciting look at some yet unreleased material.

Horsegirl – the New York-via-Chicago trio of best friends Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece – have unleashed their second album, Phonetics On and On. Produced by Cate Le Bon and recorded at The Loft in Chicago, the band’s original and sonic home, Phonetics On and On is an exploration of the lines between pop, minimalism, and playful experimentation.
